
Bob is retired from the Co-operators after 20 years and spent previous years in banking, sales and sales management. He has been a director on the Foundation for four years and has been elected the vice-chair. Bob was elected Chair of the Foundation in 2011. Bob is married and has 5 children and 10 grandchildren ranging from 1 to 18. Bob has lived in the Walkerton area for 13 years. The Foundation is extremely fortunate to have a member like Bob!
Dennis Ruetz, Partner - Cornerstone Financial Group. After 20 years in the car business with Toyota, having various duties including General Manager, he fulfilled a life long dream to own and operate his own business. Dennis developed a broad background in business with a particular interest in finances. This fits very well with his current financial advisory practice advising individuals and families on investments, insurance, taxes and lending. Dennis lives in Formosa with his wife Joanne and four children. Dennis was elected Vice - Chair of the Foundation in 2011 after serving as a director for 6 years.
Bob is a retired senior executive of Royal Bank Group. He is actively involved in supporting the hospital in our area. Bob is the President of the Brockton Family Health Team and he is a dedicated director of the Foundation.
Anne was born and raised outside the Cargill area. She continues to reside there with her husband and wonderful daughters. Anne has been employed by the Children's Aid Society of the County of Bruce since 1998. She has been with the Foundation since 2008 as a Director of Service and was elected Secretary/ Treasurer of this organization in 2010. We are very lucky to have a member like Anne on our Board of Directors.
Jerry moved to the Walkerton area in 1973. He worked for the Ontario Government for 23 years and recently retired. Before that he practiced law in Walkerton. Jerry is a dedicated volunteer who has several years of community service experience. He has been involved with the Kinsmen and K-40 Clubs of Walkerton, as well as the Bruce County unit of the Canadian Cancer Society. Jerry is married with two children and one grandchild.
John retired in late 1998 and moved from his home in Toronto and the business world of sales and marketing, to his country property just south of Mildmay to become a devoted sheep producer. He brings all of life's experiences to his many volunteer endeavors. John is married to Beverley and they have two wonderful children and two exceptional grandchildren. He is looking forward to making a contribution to the Foundation.
Maureen was born and raised in Walkerton where she currently resides with her husband, Rick. The two of them have owned RKS Electric Inc. for 25 years; Maureen works as the office manager. Maureen also works part time, from her home, for the Child and Parent Resource Institute in London as an intake Clinician. Maureen is actively involved in the community and with her church. She brings experience from being a member of several boards of management over the last 20 years. She is currently the Chair of the Walkerton Parks and Recreation committee. Maureen loves to spend time in the garden, being physically active and adoring her newly born grandchild. We look forward to the input that Maureen will offer the Foundation!
Paul was born and raised in Kincardine. He moved to Walkerton in 1977 with his wife, Judy, and their three boys, Jeff, Steve, and Matthew. In April of 1969, Paul started with Ontario Hydro in London and later accepted a position in the Walkerton Area as a linemen. Paul retired as a Supervising Distribution Technician on June 1, 2009. Over the years, he has dedicated several hours to volunteer work at the Walkerton Food Bank, the Walkerton Pentecostal Church and with Walkerton Minor Sports as a baseball coach. We look forward to having Paul as a member of the Board. His hard work and dedication will be a great asset to this Foundation.
Graduating from UWO in 1968, Tim spent his entire 32 year career in education at WDSS; the first half teaching history, the second half running the Co-operative Education program. Since retiring in 2000, Tim has divided his time between executive roles in the Rotary Club and the Royal Canadian Legion. As co-founder of the Walkerton Ratepayers Association, this lead into 2 recent terms as a municipal councillor. Tim's wife, Louise, owns and operates The Fabric Shoppe in Walkerton. His daughter Nicole resides in Revelstoke BC, and his daughter Michelle is with McIntee Real Estate. Although Tim is actively involved in the community, majoirty of his free time is spent with his granddaughter, Breanna. We are looking forward to working with Tim here at the Foundation.
Mary Jane has been employed by Larsen & Shaw Limited for 23 years and currently holds the position of Vice President, General Manager. Mary Jane and husband Dennis live in Walkerton and have two daughters who are both currently pursuing post secondary studies in K-W. She has been active in the community with various committees including Grey-Bruce School of Dance, Walkerton Minor Soccer, Hospital Foundation Gala and Municipal Complex Steering Committee and looks forward to contributing to the Foundation in support of our local hospital.
Clayton currently resides in Walkerton with his wife Florence and their two beautiful felines, Tigger and Muffin. He retired after 24 years in sales and management at Weston Bakeries. Clayton has always been very active in the community; he acted as the past president for Community Living in Walkerton, the Walkerton Chamber of Commerce, for 7 years with the Walkerton Legion, as well as past chair for the Walkerton Community Foundation and the Walkerton Rateplayers Association. Clayton also served two years as Councillor for the town of Walkerton. For 3 years, Clayton was the president of the Walkerton Blackhawks Jr. C; who won their first League Championship during this time. Today, Clayton is very active with the Rotary Club and is the treasurer of Community Living. When Clayton is not busy helping his local community, he can be found enjoying his time on the golf course. The Foundation is extremely fortunate to have a member like Clayton and we look forward to the knowledge and experience that he will bring to our team!
Jean is the current President of the Hospital Auxiliary. Jean represents the members of the Auxiliary on the Foundation. Jean currently resides in Paisley and she is a retired accountant. Jean is a valued member of the Board and we always look forward to her knowledgeable input and advice.
Cheryl had been employed with the South Bruce Grey Health Centre for over 20 years. She has worked in the Foundation Office for the past 5 years as the Foundation Coordinator and she enjoys all aspects of the job- campaigns, volunteers, event, etc. Cheryl currently resides in Hanover with her family. Cheryl is actively involved in many community functions and is always willing to lend a helping hand.
Katelyn is a summer student at the Foundation. She works in the office with Cheryl; funding grants and completeing other small jobs. Katelyn attends Nipissing University in North Bay. She is striving to obtain her Bachelor of Arts in EDucation and she is working towards a major in mathematics and a minor in French. Katelyn has been with the Foundation for 4 years.
