Legacy Giving

The majority of the Walkerton & District Hospital Foundation's support comes from annual cash donations, for which the Foundation is very grateful. But another form of support, Legacy Giving, is an increasingly attractive alternative which can benefit you, the hospital and future generations. Legacy Giving is a way to arrange your financial affairs to enable you to take care of the needs of those close to you, while at the same time, showing your commitment to healthcare in your community by making a lasting contribution to the hospital.

Individuals chose to leave estate gifts for different reasons. For some, it is a way to ensure that their memory lives on, for others, it is a way to mitigate the tax implications of transferring one's estate to surviving relatives, and for others, it is simply a way to ensure that their favorite charity is able to continue its important work. Leaving a bequest in your will to the Walkerton & District Health Services Foundation is an ideal way to continue making a difference to the health of our community.
